The “By Your Side: Transitional Sickle Cell Program” (BYSTSCP) is a program designed to benefit youth/young adults who suffer from Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), and to prepare them for their transition out of the pediatric medical system into the world of adult care. The program focuses on youth and young adults in the City and County of Los Angeles, with the intention of equipping these SCD patients with the skills needed to support their transition.
